Thank you to everyone who came out to our induction ceremony last night! Without your participation, it would not have been so much fun!

Miami Book Fair
Hey Everyone,If you would like to volunteer for the Miami Book Fair, you must register individually. I have chosen a few different times and dates, but I would like for us to all try to go together. Art Speigleman will be there on Saturday and Sunday, 11-3 both days. Salman Rushdie will be there Sunday between 4-8.
Go to www.miamibookfair.comcreate a volunteer accountwhen asked what position you would like to volunteer for choose "English Author Escort"then choose the times I have posted above.I was pointed in the wrong direction initially about applying for the Comix Gallery.
I have been told that if we would like to work closely with either author, our best bet will be to do the escort, as volunteering for Comix Gallery is solely prep work for the event being planned.

Hey everyone!
If you would like to purchase honor chords, please email crizzo5@fau.edu with your full name and phone number. When the honor chords arrive, further arrangements can be made to pick them up. The deadline for ordering will be November 7, 2008.
We are currently working on an issue brought to our attention by one of our members, Nicole. She noticed at last semester's graduation that Sigma Tau Delta members were not recognized for their service/achievements/ etc. We are working hard to make sure that by this December, all members representing Sigma Tau Delta on graduation day will be recognized upon walking across the stage.

-Free Speech Lawn in Front of SO Building
Congrats to everyone who is eligible for membership, you should have already received notification and an e-vite to the Induction Ceremony.
The Pre-Induction Ceremony will serve as a type of pep-rally for the new members who will be inducted on the 29th. Current and New members are encouraged to come so that we can all meet eachother and talk about the upcoming semester.
